Background
After 4 years of building content management systems for B2B and B2C purposes, as well as, designing interfaces and user experience, I decided to put it all to a personal project.
Challenge
Construct a platform that people can use to journal good things to cultivate and share their gratitude.
Approach
I built the entire web application in PHP 5 from scratch – developed a custom engine utilising the MVC pattern, powered by Rich Internet Application modules developed in Adobe Flex 2.0, AJAX and Prototype javascript framework. It took me 7 months full-time to setup, design, and code both front and back end.
Results
I launched it to my circles and discovered that while the application is usable and effective, I didn’t know how to market it, so the site was retired and I moved on with my learnings.
