Background
Tribal DDB Singapore was a fun-lovin, hardworking, competitive agency which loved to push interactive experiences to the edge, and win some awards. Chinese New Year was around the corner, and we wanted to do a self-promotional initiative, and a more interesting means than the traditional greeting and well-wishing.
Challenge
Bring a fortune-telling Ox to life, through a range of video and audio files, whilst balancing size, speed, responsiveness and quality of experience.
Approach
I conferred with my creative team to determine the number of actions and the parameters of interaction, in between running tests to gauge feasibility. After scribbling down designs of the classes and points to watch, I launched into creating primary classes and gradually built the rest, all the while iterating and communicating.
Results
The site performed marvellously. It was responsive, accurate and speedy even for our visitors from across the globe. It scored several sites of the day and eventually won an award for excellence with Asia Interactive.
